Series 100 Operable Wall

The Series 100 builds draws on over 50 years’ experience in the folding door industry. Almost unlimited variations in track and panel configuration and finish options, together with manufacturing flexibility, Bildspec allow you to have right system for higher acoustic rating environments – such as office boardrooms, school classrooms, training rooms and conference facilities.

Bildspec 100 Series Operable Walls have been tested for their acoustic performance at CSIRO’s acoustic testing facilities in Clayton, Victoria. Bildspec can provide walls that are rated 45Rw, 47Rw, 49Rw, and 52Rw, in accordance to AS1191.  Bildspec have successfully completed structural design certification in accordance with AS/NZS 1170.0 & AS/NZS 1170.1, regarding failure loads of their track and trolley systems when installed.  This has been done to make sure the systems were safe, fit for purpose and will perform correctly every day of the year.

Sound ratings of up to RW52 are available. Panels are 100mm thick and constructed with two outer skins of particle board or MDF board, separated by appropriate acoustic insulation contained in an extruded aluminium perimeter frame with interlocking vertical stiles. Hanging weight is approximately 30-45kg per square metre depending on sound rating.  Panels can stack to the side of the opening through three main configurations i.e. Centre Stack, Side Stack and Remote Stack.  Acoustic seals are available as either dual, triple finger extruded vinyl, or mechanically operated retractable. Variations in the retractable top and bottom seals are available on request.

Final closure of the operable wall system can be affected by either a full height pass door or an expanding panel operated by a removable handle.  Bildspec panels can come with a variety of surfaces including, but not limited to Vinyl Laminates; Wood Veneers, Plastic Laminates, Painted Finishes, Textile Wallcoverings, Pinboards, Chalkboards, Magnetic White Boards etc.

Accessories and options include inset pass doors, full height pass doors, windows, pinboards, chalkboards with recessed chalk pockets, magnetic white marker boards etc.  Bildspec operable walls shall be warranted against defects in materials and workmanship for 12 months from installation.
