Brisbane’s design community got a dose of champagne and vintage Californian design, when they gathered at the Queensland Art Gallery for the Living Edge Christmas Party.
Held on Thursday 5 December the event saw guests mingled over champagne and California-inspired canapés and experienced a special after hours peek at the exhibition California Design 1930-1965: Living in a Modern Way.

The exhibition features more than 250 iconic designs from mid-20th century California and was organised by the Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA). It’s is on until 9 February and features a fantastic public program of after hour events. Photographs by Mick Richards.
