Artefact Industries was born out of a passion to provide creative product solutions of timeless aesthetic and beautiful performance.

Established in Melbourne during 2014 by Michael Dernaj & Kate Steele, Artefact Industries takes pride in fostering the spirit of innovation and creativity through our collaborations with an inspiring network of Melbourne innovators. This network enables us to always deliver
superior quality and form in our product solutions.

Sustainability
Our products are made to order – utilizing the optimal amount of materials and energy required for the project. Our major suppliers and external fabricators are located within 20 minutes from our factory, minimizing the need for excessive freighting. Our sales and marketing tools are 100% digital, we create no print media. All our products use the most current and efficient LED lighting technology and control systems. Our facilities electricity is provided by Australia’s greenest powder company – Powershop.

Custom Lighting – We work with our customers to gain a deeper understanding of there design direction to ensure the custom design is executed to perfection. We take initial inspiration from supplied sketches, detailed drawings, renders, architectural plans or reference images communicating project inspiration, materials, finishes and objects. By combining this inspiration with our design and technical expertise, we create custom designs that truly articulate the project’s vision.
