Australian furniture design house Zuster has unveiled the Jewel Collection, a boutique range of heirloom, handcrafted pieces.
Zuster has unveiled the Jewel Collection, an exclusive range of designer furniture items for the home. Launched at DENFAIR, the Jewel Collection shows off a fresh and bold new approach for the Zuster
Composed of 10 bespoke items, the Jewel Collection from Zuster director Wilhelmina McCarroll and a range of master craftspeople, harnesses the expertise of the Zuster brand.
“The Jewel Collection is the result of a very organic and creative process which pushes the limits of our craft. Each item within the collection holds a certain kind of magic that strikes a chord and makes a special connection with the user,” says Wilhelmina.
What draws the collection together is a rich and earthy sense of colour unifying the range. Hand carved timber acts as the base for the collection, alongside embellishments of hand-blown glass and various stones.
“In combining these beautiful, natural materials we have forged a new signature for Zuster,” said Zuster Managing Director Fleur Sibbel. “It’s a bespoke design approach that marries high end fashion with furniture, drawing on a tradition of hand detailing and embellishment to create furniture pieces that make a stunning statement in your home.
“These are pieces with provenance, that draw on 22 years of Zuster craftsmanship to create statement pieces that will live in your home as ‘art’ and live with your family as heirlooms,” said Sibbel.
McCarroll collaborated with a range of local designers for each piece in the Jewel Collection, such as the Jewel Lotus Flower Cabinet, featuring a masterly hand-crafted delicate lotus flower that unfurls across the centre of the cabinet.
