Zenith launches Denn in nationwide debut: Next stop, New Zealand

Zenith’s very first task chair, Denn articulates an intelligent answer to the question of the modern office environment. Careful design grounded in thousands of hours of research and observation makes this an office chair unlike any other; engineered to combine high performance ergonomics with sustainability and aesthetics.

Indesign’s Jan Henderson attended the event in Melbourne on 20 July, joining a large crowd of Melbourne’s leading practitioners in design, who came together to celebrate the launch. Zenith’s event partners Bird in Hand Winery and Archie Rose Distilling Co ensured the night was one to remember.

Denn is the latest in Zenith’s offerings that makes the workplace a better space and is taking the design community by storm. Developed as a part of a ground-breaking collaboration between Zenith and the research-led design studio Formway, Denn has already received a Good Design Award (2022). Led by a philosophy of “subconscious sitting”, Denn’s design addresses both body posture and the profound influence that supportive design can exert on human movement.

With a graceful blend of aesthetics and sustainability, the Denn chair emerges as the epitome of support for flourishing professional spaces. Denn breathes new life into upcycled low-grade waste materials – elevating them into chic, high-performance seating – and utilises 55.9 per cent total weight derived from post-consumer and post-industrial recycled content.

“By enabling organisations to create working environments that support the long-term health and wellbeing of their people, we’re ensuring the sustainability of the organisation, while also doing the best for our planet,” explains Formway’s project director, Chris Bisman.

A masterpiece of aesthetic flexibility, Denn comes in seven bold hues of 3D knit fabric, with two frame colour options. Its versatility speaks strongly to the considered design and craftsmanship with which Zenith approaches its in-house projects.

Having now launched across Australia with events in Perth, Adelaide, Canberra, Melbourne, Brisbane and Sydney, Zenith will continue to launch throughout the Asia Pacific – with New Zealand up next.
