Workspace Awards 2020: let the entries begin!

Workspace Awards 2020 is an independent award program dedicated to celebrating Australian interior designers and their recent exemplary works.

Since its inception in 2017, the Workspace Awards program has become something of a highlight amidst all the design industry awards season antics. Underpinned, as always, by the utmost intent to celebrate Australian interior design and showcase outstanding recent commercial design projects in all their glory, the Workspace Awards 2020 is here to brighten-up the event calendar for the fourth year running.

As a Workspace initiative, the Workspace Awards is an entirely independent program intent on providing commercial interior design projects – of diverse typologies and all scales – a dedicated platform upon which they can truly shine.

“The premise of the awards has been understood by the market,” says Tom Clark, chief executive officer for Workspace, going on to say, “we genuinely believe we have filled the need for a truly independent award category – and we are so pleased to simply provide the platform”.

Iterating on the events of years past, the Workspace Awards 2020 program comes complete with revised categories. This year’s accolades comprise a total of seven primary categories and six major categories.

Workspace Awards 2020 categories

Primary: project typologies

  • Hospitality
  • Education
  • Health
  • Aged Care
  • Technology
  • Retail
  • Residential

Major: edge cases

  • Sustainability
  • Emerging Designer
  • Designer of the Year
  • Workplace (under 1000m2)
  • Workplace (over 1000m2)
  • Workspace Overall Winner (people’s choice award)

In keeping with the spirit of things, the Workplace Awards 2020 entry process is as clear and unconvoluted as the above categories. Oh, and there’s the added bonus that entering is done entirely online and is 100 per cent free-of-charge – it sounds almost too good to be true. (If that’s what you’re thinking, a read of the Conditions of Entry ought to calm your qualms).

Entries for the Workplace Awards 2020 are officially open and will stay so right up until October 30. Head to workspace.com.au to find out more or enter now.
