The new Curve Pendant Ball lighting by the eponymous brand of British product designer Tom Dixon invites curious conversations on form and material. It resembles elements from outer space, like a satellite or celestial spheres. When put together with the right objects, it can also pass off as an Art Deco sculpture.

The geometrical lighting aims to push “the boundaries of thin sheet etched metal fabrication”. Its brass shade sports a soft nickel silver coating with a microscopic perforated surface that reflects internally and emits a filtered glow outwards.

It is available in two sizes, enabling designers to assemble and compose multiple pieces that come together as a centrepiece in any given space.
The inception of the Tom Dixon brand is a commitment to “revive the British furniture industry” through innovation, by perceiving its national heritage as inspiration to produce extraordinary everyday objects.
Tom Dixon is available at E lighting, Urban Living, and Lane Crawford.
