8 Reasons To Enter the Shaw Contract Design Awards

One week left to enter the 2017 Shaw Contract Design Awards! Here’s why we think you should enter…

The Shaw Contract Design Awards program is open to all professional interior design and architecture firms, as well as end users who have featured a Shaw Contract product in their projects. Entries are to be judged on their detailed design stories, encompassing sustainability & environmental goals, innovative design solutions, as well as the Shaw Contract flooring’s contribution to design objectives. Here are eight reasons why you should start preparing your entry for this global award program!

  1. Promotion for Your Project

Global Award winners will be promoted in Shaw Contract marketing materials, media outreach, and an advertising campaign in leading A&D publications globally. This is a fantastic chance to showcase your project!

  1. The international Trip of a Lifetime

Two representatives from each Global Award winning firm will be invited as guests of Shaw Contract to experience an International design journey. Previous experiences include a trip to Chicago to explore NeoCon, and 2016’s trip to Miami, Florida to visit the South Beach Wine & Food Festival.
Stay tuned for the announcement of the 2017 Design Journey destination!

  1. A Charitable Donation in Your Name

A $2,000 USD charitable donation could be awarded in your firm’s name to an organisation or charity of your choosing. 2016 Global Award winner Haskell donated to Habitat for Humanity’s Water Sanitation and Hygiene project, which will help more families in the APAC region to gain access to water as well as lifesaving training and education

  1. Your project in front of a global panel

The Shaw Contract Design Awards are judged by an independent panel of industry experts from across the globe. The 2016 judging panel included representatives from Gensler, NBBJ, HLW, IBI Group, and Princeton University.

  1. Your project showcased on the global stage

The 2016 awards features over 450 total entries from 32 Countries, representing the highest caliber of work within industry segments across the globe. The awards are a great chance to showcase your work amongst industry peers from around the world.

  1. A unique trophy could be yours

Both Market Award winners (the shortlist) and Global Award winners (the finalists) will receive a unique MoMA sculpture to commend the achievement.

  1. Helping to support Australian design

For the past 3 years, an international panel of judges has chosen an Australian project as a finalist for a Global Award. Your entry will help showcase Australian design, and potentially make it 4 years in a row of fantastic Australian award-winning design.

  1. You could join other Australian design firms as winners

You could join FJMT, Jackson Clements Burrows, and Haskell Architects as Global Award winners of the Shaw Contract Design Awards!

Entries are now open for the 2017 Shaw Contract Design Awards, and will close 3rd March 2017. To read more about the program or to submit your project click here.
