Saturday Indesign 2025 Afterparty: A rooftop celebration to remember
Published

On 6th September 2025, Saturday Indesign went out with a bang at The Albion Rooftop in Melbourne. Sponsored by ABI Interiors, Woodcut and Signorino, the Afterparty was the perfect finale to a day of design, connection and creativity.
After a full day of creativity, conversation and exploration across Melbourne, Saturday Indesign 2025 reached its crescendo at the official Afterparty, held at the ever-stylish Albion Rooftop. Sponsored by ABI Interiors, Woodcut and Signorino, the event drew designers, architects, specifiers and industry friends together for a night that was every bit as dynamic and inspiring as the day itself.

Across all three precincts, exhibitors kept the city alive with experiences that blurred the lines between design showcase and social celebration. Winnings in Richmond was a standout, with a steady stream of activations throughout the day before transforming their precinct into a lively block party, complete with food, drinks and a high-energy performance by Sneaky Sound System. Just down the road, CULT’s Gubi After Hours added to the atmosphere with its own late-night programming, ensuring the precinct buzzed well into the evening.

When it came time to move on, buses collected guests from outside Winnings/Design Precinct, CULT and top3 by design, carrying them straight into the city for the official Afterparty. At The Albion Rooftop, the skyline set the scene for a night that embodied the spirit of Saturday Indesign: connection, creativity and community.
An incredible DJ kept the crowd on their feet with a soundtrack that fuelled the dance floor well into the night, while food and drink flowed freely. Guests were treated to roaming canapés, a ‘build-your-own prosciutto slider’ station and an open bar that kept glasses topped up. VIPs were welcomed with cocktails on arrival, and a sweet surprise came courtesy of ABI Interiors, who organised Messina Gelato to round out the menu in true style.

The Afterparty wasn’t just an extension of the day, it was its own unforgettable experience. Conversations made in showrooms carried on to the dancefloor, new connections were toasted, and the industry came together in a setting that felt both celebratory and inspiring.
From the first showroom doors opening in the morning to the last beats on the rooftop after dark, Saturday Indesign 2025 was a reminder of why this event holds such a special place in the design calendar. The Afterparty closed the day on a high, not only as a chance to unwind but as a true celebration of the creativity and camaraderie that define this industry.
