Performance with poise: Gaggenau’s Essential Induction Cooktop

For those who appreciate form as much as function, Gaggenau’s latest induction innovation delivers sculpted precision and effortless flexibility, disappearing seamlessly into the surface when not in use.

In kitchens where design and performance must coexist seamlessly, Gaggenau continues to redefine the art of cooking and design with the Essential Induction Cooktop. As a luxury brand for professional-grade home appliances with a heritage dating back to 1683, Gaggenau builds on its legacy of craftsmanship, design, and innovation with this latest induction cooktop series.

“Our longstanding commitment to innovation has often changed the dynamic of cooking,” said Dr Peter Goetz, Managing Director of Gaggenau. “From the first integrated, eye-level appliances, to downdraft ventilation and pioneering steam cooking for the private kitchens, our technological advances have always created genuine human benefits. Today we champion The Essential Induction cooktop, an innovation that will not only change the way people cook but also how they choose to interact and socialise in the modern, open plan kitchen.”

Designed for seamless integration with Dekton by Cosentino stone countertops, the cooktop’s minimalist design is an exercise in restraint. Distilled to its essentials, including the LED “dot”, the worktop surface, and Gaggenau’s signature performance knob, the cooktop embodies a considered approach to clarity and reduction. The LED dot, a smart centre light within the cooking zone, guides cookware placement and indicates residual heat during use. When inactive, it vanishes completely, allowing the countertop to return to a clean, understated surface suitable for preparation, serving, dining, or everyday tasks throughout the day.

Central to the cooktop is Gaggenau’s front-mounted performance knob, available in stainless steel or black. This tactile control offers intuitive precision through its smooth turning motion and illuminated feedback, making adjustments clear and immediate. It offers functions such as Keep Warm and Boost, providing finely tuned control for everything from melting delicate ingredients to rapid boiling. This level of responsiveness is matched by the cooktop’s exclusive integration with Dekton by Cosentino’s ultra-compact, stain- and scratch-resistant surfaces. With 33 available finishes and colours, this sleek combination gives designers and homeowners the freedom to complement any interior scheme, creating a statement of understated luxury.

To complete the experience, removable magnetic surface protectors safeguard the stone worktop, ensure optimal induction conductivity, and soften the sound of cookware in motion, underscoring Gaggenau’s focus on thoughtful details. These protectors attach securely to the base of the pan, offering an added layer of confidence when cooking on stone surfaces and helping the countertop maintain its pristine appearance over time.

With the Essential Induction Cooktop, Gaggenau set out to rethink how the kitchen can function as a multi-purpose environment. The refined surface concept, designed to work with Dekton by Cosentino, supports more open and adaptable planning approaches. This reflects the brand’s broader philosophy of advancing technologies that meaningfully enhance both the performance of cooking and the overall functionality of the home. Rooted in Gaggenau’s longstanding tradition of craftsmanship and innovation, the Essential Induction Cooktop transforms cooking into an act of precision and grace, offering a beautifully restrained centrepiece for the modern home.
