Palissade Park
Published

A new collection of of outdoor furniture designed by Paris based Ronan & Erwan Bouroullec for HAY.
The HAY Palissade series is a modern collection of outdoor furniture, referencing the manicured, sprawling green parks of Bouoroullec’s working city – Paris. Featuring 13 different pieces, Palissade is made of standard steel tubes, round for the frame and rectangular for the slats of the seat. This allows a wide range of typologies with a common design expression – from stools and benches, to chairs and tables, reclined lounge seats and sofas.
The collection’s 13 different elements are not only united by their graphical expressions, but also by their common characteristics. Palissade is strong without being bulky, and light without being fragile. The collection was conceived without a specific context in mind, and is at home in a variety of spaces – public parks, cafes, restaurants, leafy garden courtyards, terraces, and balconies.
The anatomically designed slats offer a high degree of comfort, catered perfectly to outdoor conditions where air and water will pass between the slats. Cushions provide extra lounging comfort. Palissade’s production techniques inctoporate simplified manufacturing methods, but each piece is made to the highest standard. Steel tubes are cut, bent, welded, galvanized and powder coated. Palissade is available in light grey, anthracite, and a warm olive to match Paris’ classic park furniture. The range starts from RRP AUD 315.00.
Palissade is now available in Australia and New Zealand through Cult Design.
