Eco-friendly carpet tiles lay the groundwork for truly original spaces

New from Above Left and Carpets Inter, the Orsa Collection on EcoSoft offers two timeless classic designs to compliment a building’s strength and stability.
Workplace designers rely on the simplicity of a neutral colour scheme to serve as the space’s foundation, allowing for smaller pops of colour and personality to bring the room together. The subtle organic contrast of the Orsa Collection, the latest nylon modular carpet tile from Carpets Inter, provides the ideal backdrop for public spaces.
Available from Above Left, exclusive Australian distributors of Carpets Inter products, Orsa pulls together two complementary designs in a range of neutral tones. The collection’s precise yet artful linear patterns lend themselves to a range of installation methods and configurations, including monolithic, checkerboard, horizontal and vertical brick, and horizontal and vertical stairstep.

Orsa is available on EcoSoft, an environmentally-friendly carpet tile backing that fights pollution while delivering first-class performance. Superior underfoot comfort, thermal insulation, and superior acoustics are all provided by the distinctive EcoSoft cushion backing, as well as exceptional durability, making it ideal for commercial office, convention, education, hospitality and all other high-traffic interior spaces. The best part is that EcoSoft recycles 50 plastic bottles per square meter, making you feel satisfied that you have made a positive choice to help the environment.

In order to create EcoSoft cushion back modular carpet tile, Carpets Inter has recycled over 847 million PET bottles, lessening the environmental harm caused by plastic pollution. Other company-driven initiatives that are contributing to a natural carbon reduction in our atmosphere include recycling waste for refuse-derived fuel, repurposing organic waste to agriculture, using over 90% clean energy sources, and planting thousands of trees in the community each year.

Rather than solely purchasing carbon credits to offset their carbon footprint, Above Left and Carpets Inter practice prevention at the source and are on a mission to recycle one billion bottles by 2025. In addition, they are promoting the health and wellbeing of users. International Living Future Institute (ILFI) has designated EcoSoft as RED LIST FREE under their DECLARE Label award program, the highest designation recognising no harmful content.
These accomplishments serve as yet another testament to Above Left and Carpets Inter’s dedication to material transparency, safety, and hygiene in the pursuit of healthy occupied spaces, all the while striving to become carbon neutral under the WELL Building Certification.
