From the responsibly sourced raw materials used to manufacture Eden TPO, to the energy-efficient printing processes employed at its Sydney plant, Materialised has made every effort to ensure the product sets a new standard for sustainability in the contract furnishings industry.
Eden TPO is made of 100% Thermoplastic Olefin (TPO) – a blended material, composed of a thermoplastic (such as polypropylene), an elastomer (rubber) and a filler. PVC-free material, it also contains no plasticisers, vinyl resins, chlorine, formaldehyde, heavy metals, or halogen.
Significantly, from an environmental perspective, Eden TPO requires roughly a third less energy than PVC film to produce. Furthermore, it is printed using only water-based inks (which are Greenguard Gold certified) and coatings. While it is flame retardant (as per AS/NZS 3837-1998, Group 2), it can be safely incinerated. Indeed, when disposed of in this way, it produces only water vapour.
Add to that its strength and suitability for a range of applications beyond walling, it is little wonder that TPO has been hailed as something of a wonder product.

Importantly though, the attractions of Eden TPO extend beyond environmental considerations. Conceived with the ambition of elevating interior design to new heights, its printable surface effectively serves as a blank canvas for designers and architects. Thanks to Materialised’s state-of-the-art printing techniques, and its vast design library, they are delivered everything they need to create visually stunning spaces.

Apart from TPO, the product also features a cellulose non-woven backing. A high performance, commercial grade product, it weighs 373g/m² and is available in a width of 134cm. Depending on the chosen pattern, pattern repeats are available; and, as a special feature, anti-mildew and antimicrobial options are also available.
