Gineico Interiors specialises in high-end hospitality projects, and offer both off-the-shelf products as well as custom solutions through its highly-skilled team of fabricators. We take a look at five different ways Gineico has brought their expertise to a series of unique hospitality projects, and offer inspiring lighting solutions for your next project.

Sterling Hotel Pizza Bar

Samantha Agostino Design chose the four large pendants as a striking design feature in the Sterling Hotel Pizza Bar in South Australia, which compliment the soft white interior and light timber furniture that weaves throughout the space. Gineico’s Quasar pendants are pressed metal, not plastic, and come in a standard galvanised finish reminiscent of old school jelly tins. These were custom painted for this project to match the designer’s specification, and were also converted from metal halide to 240V soft warm white LED. This is an example of the effective results that can be achieved through the use of Gineico fittings in conjunction with their highly-skilled team of fabricators.

Bavarian Bier Cafe

Located in Sydney City, Bavarian Bier Cafe cleverly balances heritage and modern European design. Gineico was tasked by Dreamtime Australia with creating the bier stein chandelier that hovers above the bar. The brief was to make the glasses look like a crystal chandelier but to limit glare. The piece is a critical design element in this project and the result is an eye catching light-shattering sculpture. Custom rod downlights, high output LED strip lights and inground up lights combine to create a high-impact design feature in this heritage space.

360 Dining

Premier dinner venue, 360 Dining is set in Sydney’s iconic Westfield Tower. Designed by Dreamtime Australia, the project was a highly detailed combination of textured surfaces that required custom lighting solutions. Gineico provided the lighting for handcrafted timber sculptures that were transformed into high-impact pendants. The lighting solution included back lighting of the tortoise shell bar, LED panel lighting under the ice within the bar, custom low glare wall up lights, joinery lighting and custom circular neon lighting for the hand basins.

Whitewater Restaurant

Whitewater Restaurant is a contemporary dining destination set on the beachfront of Manly Beach, Sydney. In this project by Dreamtime Australia, Gineico supplied the lighting solutions to highlight the beautiful sculptures that are featured throughout the restaurant. Gineico also supplied under counter lighting, suspended trapeze lighting and inground up lighting to bring the elegant space to life.

Hugos Manly

Set on the waterfront of Manly Beach, Hugos Manly is a welcoming space that achieves a relaxed beach house feel through its clever combination of design elements by Squillace Architects. Due to its location at Manly Wharf, applying the right lighting solutions for the environment was critical. Gineico supplied Hugos Manly with marine grade exterior lighting to withstand the elements and ensure years of trouble-free operation. The fittings used in this project are from Gineico’s I-Pipedi collection, and include large scale wall up and down lights that deliver direct and indirect lighting and a soft and welcoming atmosphere.
