The hallmark of the upgraded Chateau Oak engineered timber flooring lies in its unique new tri-layer oak construction, featuring an 100% cross laminated oak core. Utilising a whole-tree approach rather than using only select parts of the tree, it achieves the stability benefits characteristic of cross-grain engineered timber flooring, setting it apart in terms of both design and performance, yet it is constructed from only a single species.
Adding to its sustainability credentials, Chateau Oak engineered timber flooring is Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification (PEFC) Chain of Custody certified, ensuring that its raw materials have been sourced from responsibly managed forests. These forests adhere to the highest ecological, cultural, ethical and environmental standards.
Chateau Oak boasts a 3.2mm European Oak veneer, providing a luxurious appearance with true-to-life distinct knots and grain variation. This veneer not only contributes to the floor’s distinct look, which highlights the authentic texture and grain of European oak, but also ensures durability, making the product suitable for high-traffic areas.
While retaining the top three best-selling colours from the existing range (Alpine Oak, Summer Blonde, and Autumn Amber), the new Chateau Oak range introduces a fashion-forward colour palette tailored to modern design preferences. This collection introduces a mix of contemporary colourways, including neutral tones and reactive stains. The result is a spectrum of hues that not only maintain a clean and distinctive character for each board but also accentuate the natural grain variation found in European oak.
