A new take on the classic nesting chair

The Fuld Nesting Chair from Herman Miller elevates the experience of a nesting chair while enabling flexible configurations for workspaces.
In today’s hybrid work landscape, the demands for a high-quality, agile workplace are greater than ever. Increasingly, to adapt to evolving organisational needs, work environments need spaces that can fulfil a variety of uses, from breakout sessions to social celebrations to corporate training and educational events.
The need for functionality and adaptability is encapsulated by the classic nesting chair design, which has become a staple in offices around the world. Herman Miller takes this concept a step further with its new Fuld Nesting Chair, designed in collaboration with Stefan Diez.
The first nesting chair from the brand, Fuld stands out from other nesting chairs thanks to its updated design, which enables organisations to reconfigure space without sacrificing style. It eschews the typical X shape of a nesting chair for a streamlined inverted Y with tubular arms. A small amount of elasticity in the back helps to keep you comfortable as you move.
Fuld is available in dipped-in-colour options consisting of the seat, seat-back and legs in one hue and dual-colour combinations. This wide spectrum of colour choice, alongside the chair’s unique lines and crisp organic form, takes the experience of the nesting chair to a new level.

Diez’s design of Fuld was motivated by a long-standing commitment to the environment. The chair’s minimalist design and ground-breaking one-piece construction, in which the back rest, arms, and back legs are all one continuous piece, allow for easy recycling at the end of its useful life. There is also an optional 3D Knit textile seat that is made of 50% post-consumer recycled content and knitted to the exact measurements of the chair, eliminating any fabric waste.
