CPD Live returns this October for the final livestreamed season of 2026, bringing eight new expert-led sessions to architecture and design professionals across two days.
Running on 21–22 October 2026, the free online event gives participants the opportunity to earn up to eight Formal CPD points, with one Formal CPD point available for each completed session.
Delivered live and online, the program brings together leading suppliers and industry specialists to explore practical issues affecting contemporary architecture, specification and the built environment – from NCC 2025 and fire resistance through to embodied carbon, circularity, exterior lighting and designing for challenging coastal conditions.
As the final livestreamed CPD Live event for 2026, the October program offers architects, designers and other built environment professionals another opportunity to build their CPD knowledge before the end of the year.
Eight sessions across two days
This season’s program spans materials, performance, sustainability and specification, with sessions designed to provide practical knowledge that can be applied to current and future projects.
Session 1 – Fire Resistance in Concrete Structures: Lightweight Solutions for Building Refurbishment Under NCC 2025
Explore fire resistance requirements for existing concrete structures and the role lightweight solutions can play in refurbishment projects under NCC 2025. Presented by Promat. Register for this session.
Session 2 – From Façade to Footpath: Considerations for Effective Exterior Lighting Design
Examine the key principles influencing successful exterior lighting, from architectural façades through to pedestrian environments and the broader public realm. Presented by Euroluce. Register for this session.
Session 3 – Designing High-Performance Building Envelopes: From Interior Walls to Façades
Take a closer look at the interconnected elements of the building envelope and the considerations involved in achieving high-performing interior wall and façade systems. Presented by CSR. Register for this session.
Session 4 – The Future of Mineral Stone: Understanding Zero-Silica Mineral Surfaces
Explore the evolution of mineral surfaces and what specifiers need to understand about emerging zero-silica alternatives, material performance and specification. Presented by Alpha Surfaces. Register for this session.
Session 5 – Coastal Architecture: Designing for Salt, Sun & Storm
Investigate the particular challenges of designing and specifying materials for coastal environments, where exposure to salt, intense sunlight and severe weather can significantly influence long-term building performance. Presented by DECO Australia. Register for this session.
Session 6 – Decoding Carbon: Turning Data into Better Design Decisions
Learn how carbon data can be better understood and applied to specification and design decisions, helping practitioners assess the environmental implications of products and materials. Presented by Living Edge. Register for this session.
Session 7 – Services Using Applied Principles of Circularity
Explore how circular economy principles can be translated into practical services and strategies that extend product life, reduce waste and support more responsible material use. Presented by Verosol. Register for this session.
Session 8 – Embodied Carbon & Sustainability in the Built Environment: From the Inside Out
Consider embodied carbon through the lens of interior environments and building components, and how more informed product and specification choices can contribute to broader sustainability objectives. Presented by LINAK. Register for this session.
Earn up to eight Formal CPD points
Participants can register for the sessions most relevant to their practice or attend the complete two-day program to earn up to eight Formal CPD points.
Each session is worth one Formal CPD point, making CPD Live a flexible way for architecture and design professionals to continue building their knowledge while meeting professional development requirements.
With topics spanning regulation, material innovation, building performance and sustainability, the October program reflects some of the key considerations influencing specification and design practice heading into 2027.
CPD Live takes place online on 21–22 October 2026. Registration is free.
