Back in full thread: VIATT to return after standout debut

Following its successful inaugural event in early 2024, the Vietnam International Trade Fair for Apparel, Textiles, and Textile Technologies (VIATT) is gearing up for its next instalment in 2025.

Vietnam’s textile and garment exports are steadily recovering after the challenges of 2023, with foreign direct investment reaching USD 11 billion in the first five months of this year, a 2% increase from last year, according to the Ministry of Planning and Investment. Seizing this new opportunity, the Vietnam International Trade Fair for Apparel, Textiles, and Textile Technologies (VIATT) will return from 26–28 February 2025 at the Saigon Exhibition and Convention Center.

VIATT

In 2024, the first edition of the fair, described as “a one-stop sourcing platform for all textile industry needs”, drew 409 exhibitors and attracted 17,262 visitors from 55 countries and regions, setting a strong foundation for VIATT 2025. Building on this success, the upcoming event, organised by Messe Frankfurt (HK) Ltd and the Vietnam Trade Promotion Agency, will highlight the latest industry trends while expanding its focus on key areas.

One of the new additions is the Econogy Hub, a dedicated space for promoting sustainability in the textile industry and addressing the growing demands of economic and social change. In line with the industry’s evolving environmental focus, VIATT 2025 will also debut the Innovation & Digital Solutions Zone, where exhibitors can showcase cutting-edge technologies like AI design, digital manufacturing, and big data analytics.

“The invaluable feedback from the first edition of VIATT has driven us to make next year’s fair even stronger and look forward to its increasing importance in our global textile framework,” said Ms Wilmet Shea, General Manager of Messe Frankfurt (HK) Ltd. “With Vietnam’s business environment on the upswing, we are excited about VIATT 2025’s potential to serve as an effective, on-trend platform for harnessing and supplementing the renewed growth of the country’s textile industry across multiple sub-sectors.”

VIATT

VIATT 2025 will continue to present a diverse range of exhibitors across the apparel, home textile and technical textile sectors, with even more opportunities to highlight their products than at the 2024 edition. In the apparel fabrics and fashion textiles category, exhibitors will have the opportunity to go beyond their booths by taking part in the event’s fashion shows, seminars, and other fringe program activities. In addition, home and contract textile exhibitors can enhance their visibility by showcasing their latest offerings in the Home Textiles Display Zone or through dedicated product presentations. When it comes to technical fabrics, exhibitors can spotlight their innovations by participating in the fair’s new innovation showcase area and at the new Innovation & Digital Solutions Zone.

Exhibitors have spoken about the opportunities provided by the fair’s international reach. “We export our products to many countries, such as the US, Mexico, the UK, France, Australia, China, and more. But this fair is our first step to survey the Vietnamese and Southeast Asia markets. We have also met customers from Ecuador, China, and Japan,” noted Mr Seung Jin Choi, Assistant Manager at Hangyang Eco Tex, Korea, about VIATT 2024. “At the other booths, we found so many potential downstream business partners and some companies from our region. We can join together, discuss our market, and maintain good relationships with each other.”

VIATT

Messe Frankfurt’s Texpertise Network, with over 50 textile fairs across 13 countries, will make VIATT 2025 a prime platform for connecting Vietnamese businesses with international partners, promoting cross-border trade, knowledge sharing, and collaboration.
