Come on down! Aspect Furniture’s new Melbourne showroom opening

Open now, the new Aspect Furniture showroom is a modern edge encapsulation of what makes the brand great.

Aspect Furniture has always been passionate about thoughtful design, and the functionality of modern furniture. How effective a well-designed piece of furniture isn’t just reliant on its own design, but also on the space it inhabits and how it’s used. So when designing their new Melbourne showroom, of course the interior design of the space needed to be something special.

This new Melbourne showroom was designed to be a space for Aspect Furniture to showcase their range of cutting-edge office furniture in a clear and intriguing way, as well as show off just how that furniture might function in a modern, active working environment.

Located on 333 Collins Street right in the heart of Melbourne, the new Aspect Furniture showroom is a high-ceilinged space with an inviting tone and a wealth of history in its walls. Working with architects Warren and Mahoney, the existing structure of the building was left untouched, having the inherent features and character of the space serving as a backdrop to the furniture.

An eye-catching and pivotal design feature of the showroom is the chair wall – a sprawl of elevated platforms manufactured in house and adorned with a collection of Aspect Furniture seating. More than just a visually exciting element for the space, the chair wall serves as a way to showcase a huge range of furniture without the need to wheel in chairs individually as clients request them.

The remainder of the showroom is divided into active areas of workstations, T-walls, privacy screens, soft seating and accessories, as well as an open-plan kitchen that serves as an informal social environment for both staff and clients.

The purpose of this rebuild is more than just showing Active Furniture’s collections – this is a an active work space that functions as a low-pressure sales environment and a functional work environment where clients are able to see the furniture in a workspace, and try it out in a working environment.

The new Aspect Furniture showroom is more than just a retail space – this is a physical statement of the entire Aspect ethos. They are passionate about providing workplace environments that keep up with global trends, local requirements and ever-changing workstyles.
