Go team! The prowess of designers in the Asia Pacific region was validated – once again – at a global level this week with the announcement of the award winners at the INSIDE World Festival of Interiors.
A raw fashion boutique with geometric shapes was crowned the World Interior of the Year at the INSIDE Festival of Interiors 2016. Other category winners include a 1950s-inspired diner, a welcoming healthcare facility, an artisanal co-working space and more.
More than half of the 62 finalists announced for the INSIDE awards are Asia-based projects. They include an optical store in the theme of a supermart, a burger restaurant inspired by 1950s diners, and a ring shop with oversized ribbon-like structures.
The project by March Studio has beaten over 100 nominees across nine categories to take home the prestigious title at this year’s INSIDE – World Festival of Interiors.
Projects by Zaha Hadid, Ronald Lu & Partners, Aedas and more will go on to compete in the finals in October.
The shortlist for the World Architecture Festival Awards 2014 is out. See who will be vying for the top accolades, including “World Building” and “Future Project” of the Year.
