Salone del Mobile and the wider Milan Design Week again provided plenty of food for thought this year. Here, we reflect on some design ‘trends’ as well as taking a more critical view of the annual gathering.
From Muuto’s softly lived-in Brera apartment to Artemest’s palazzo-scale grandeur and Studiopepe’s introspective project apartment, these Milan Design Week interiors use the home as a stage for design, feeling and identity.
“We investigate the subjective and objective sensations and experiences linked to colours in order to define the personality of each project,” says Studiopepe co-director Chiara Di Pinto. It’s a personal approach that has garnered the Italian design studio world-wide acclaim.
