With Milsons Point’s Astonia Residences seeing six oversized apartments with luxury bedrooms and bathrooms, maximising space was essential – which lead to a range of interesting design problems, and solutions.

The luxury boutique development on Milsons Point’s Cliff Street comprises six oversize apartments, all with a minimum of 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms, and at over $22k per sqm, maximising the areas was the goal.

Gosia Piotrowski, Senior Associate and Interior Designer, at architects nettletontribe, explained the appeal; “The apartments have a magnificent vista across Lavender Bay, with Harbour Bridge views. Our brief was to open up the interior living areas to capitalise on the breathtaking panorama”.

Maximising the living spaces doesn’t mean compromising in other areas – Gosia and her team were excited by the challenge and turned to Geberit and their concealed cisterns for the bathrooms, which offered greater flexibility when designing the bathrooms. This led to architect team being able to maximize the space available, and choose the pan that best suited the overall design. Geberit Sigma01 buttons were selected for its organic look.
