Runway is a brand new concept within furniture for waiting, public and reception areas.
July 4th, 2011
By just a few elements this system allows you to create unique, homorganic and graphic units. Alternatively these universal components can be put together in principal endless setups in large public spaces. Runway’s individual angles and the slim lines add a very dynamic impression, almost a natural flowing movement within the open space.
Designed by infamous Danish duo busk+hertzog, with an idea that these freestanding elements should be positioned in open spaces where the asymmetry of the furniture will break the architectural lines of the room.
Seen from above the units create graphic impressions that interact with the details of the contemporary architecture. A high level of individualism is supported by the endless combination possibilities in choice of fabrics, colours and contrast stitching.
The angled sides contribute not only to a dynamic expression but also for function and practicality in the concept of protection from shoe marks and dirt plus easy ergonomics when rising from the seat.
Made of High quality foam on a plywood frame, with plastic glides and metal connecting brackets.
