Digitally Printed Textiles & Wall Covering
By Materialised
Product Description
Aesthetics and functionality need to be carefully combined. Flame Retardancy, spill resistance, high abrasion resistance, stability, crease-resistance, cleanability, and acoustic absorption are essential. Yet so are beautiful and comfortable surroundings. Materialised has developed digitally printed textile and wall covering solutions that address the two seemingly conflicting demands to bring beautiful, infinitely broad choices of colour and design, whilst never compromising the ever-important function.
Materialised specialises in prints, digitally printed onto a range of high-performance textile, roller blind, wall covering and window film substrates at the state-of-the-art print facility in Sydney.
The print collection houses designs by Florence Broadhurst, P/Kaufmann, Lynne Tanner, Sara Berrenson, Typoflora, Jimmy Pike, Grace Garrett, Patricia Braune, Sibella Court, Shibori and Lizzy Stageman. An in-house design team also create collections under the name ‘Hot Off The Press.’
The method of printing is dye sublimation transfer where the design is printed in-house onto a transfer paper and then transferred by heat and pressure into the fabric (aka ‘dry dying.’) This process uses virtually no water, there is no wasteful speculation, the designs reproduce with magazine-like quality and it gives the client infinite options.
Base cloths are sourced from the world’s finest mills. Each textile substrate has passed an array of industry-compliant commercial grade tests for strength, washing, abrasion and flammability.
Likewise, wall covering substrates are flame retardant and recommended for commercial applications.
