FUTURE FLIGHT
Prue Royle, our Founding Director will present her ideas on our flight into the future. Using her experience in trend observation over the past 26 years, Prue will provoke us into thinking what is likely to happen and more importantly how as designers we can both prepare for and create the future. Concepts such as Space Odyssey, New World Order and Grey Rebellion will be presented with visuals revealing a clash of opposites from Fast to Slow; Skin to Metal; Earth to Sky!
BEYOND TREND – COLOUR AFFECTS
iscd is very pleased to present Angela Wright’s colour affects concepts to our creative community. Angela is in Australia for the International Colour Association Congress from the UK. Katrina Hill, Colour Designer and Dulux Colour Awards finalist is her representative in Australia. The Colour Affects System of applied colour psychology is built on the pairing of colour physics with psychology to evoke consistently reproducible – and predictable – psychological response to colour in the great majority of people. Colour affects your bottom line in branding, packaging, web design, interiors, product design and fashion and for that reason is always essential to consider.
TREND REPORT: EUROPE 10/11
Lucy Sutherland will present an up to the minute trend journey through some of the latest key directional European Interiors shows such as Maison Objet and MoOD (Decosit) that were held in September this year. Lucy will observe key emerging design themes within the home and offer her unique take on material, structure, colour and form directions that will influence us in 2010 and beyond.
