Design showrooms in Auckland get creative with fashion designers

Some designers created installations based on their most recent collection, while others worked with the product on display to come up with an integrated approach.
The winning collaboration was Zambesi, the fashion house established by Elisabeth and Neville Findlay in 1979, who set up an installation in the ECC showroom.
The installation (pictured above) included the Zambesi’s womenswear collection, which was combined with hanging pendant lights to form ‘hats’ over the manikins.

The other showrooms participating were Cite, Boconcept, Bos Design, Simon James Design, Design Denmark, Apartmento, Clooney, Hafele NZ, Poggenpohl, Matisse, Domo, Ligne Roset, Georgigregg Home, Metrix and Studio Italia.
