Following the success of his earlier range for Designer Rugs in 2005, Akira again collaborated with the innovative Australian rug company, bringing all the experience and inventiveness of his fashion design into his creations.

The new range again plays on a contemporary interpretation of traditional Japanese iconography, including floral and other patterning refreshed for the 21st Century.

The six new designs were teamed with furniture from some of the leading Australian designer furniture suppliers as well as with six leading interior magazines.
