A night to remember, savour and reflect upon as Kavita Lala, CEO of Indesign Media, again brings women together in celebration of their achievements.
June 14th, 2024
The second iteration of Celebrating Women in Luxury Travel and Design, an Indesign networking event, was held in Sydney last week. While the weather on the evening was somewhat stormy, the atmosphere at the Hyatt Regency’s Zephyr Bar was anything but, with lively and stimulating discussion in abundance. With more than 40 guests comprising the very best Sydney-side practitioners and heads of business from the worlds of design and travel, the drinks flowed as did the conversation where new friendships were forged and old ones renewed.
The event, initiated by CEO of Indesign Media, Kavita Lala, was a chance for women who are exemplars in their field to come together, mingle and forge bonds. The first Celebrating Women in Luxury Travel and Design event was held in Melbourne at the end of March and demonstrated just how beneficial a mixing of design and travel professionals could be. Principals of business and practices met and discovered what design and travel have in common, exchanged their personal journeys and everyone felt at home among their peers.
Perhaps the evening is best summed up through Kavita’s words spoken on the evening in Sydney, that talked of coming together to celebrate the incredible community of women that resides in Australia.
“Tonight, we are not just networking; we are coming together to pause, reflect, and celebrate the incredible community of women that we are privileged to be a part of.
It has been my dream to facilitate a group of like-minded females, who can come together in a space that is safe, fun and inspiring.
This evening is a tribute to your hard work and your resilience, – being super women is not easy and we are allowed to just be a group of fun females engaging with no agenda but to connect and share our stories.
Every story shared tonight is a testament to the unique journey each of us has undertaken, and together, we weave a rich tapestry of innovation, passion, and inspiration.
In this relaxed setting, I hope we find new friendships, forge stronger bonds, and leave with a renewed sense of purpose and camaraderie.”
