A former tie factory with a divine courtyard becomes a journey of delight. Each room in the building is another door to discover international design, with a particularly craft-based approach. Companies like Piet Hein Eek, Cattelani & Smith, &tradition and a bevy of smaller names provide the goods. We even saw the inimitable Rossana herself, but she was too quick for us to catch!

MOST by Tom Dixon – mostsalone.com
Instigated by Tom Dixon, the Museum of Science and Technology features some kooky companies. A wide reprentation of Dixon’s own collection takes up a fair amount of space, but the new Futuristic and multi-functional collaboration with Adidas is MOST impressive. Studio Job + Lensvelt – lensvelt.com
The best marketing at the fair was hands (noses) down was from Studio Job. A series of posters and postcards featuring international icons Mohammed Ali, Mother Teresa, Marilyn Monroe and Albert Einstein wearing a gold nose had everyone wondering. The studio chose to feature just three new products en masse, all in white, in their impressive space at MOST – including the drawer with the gold nose as a drawer handle. Picking a nose has never been more functional.
