Blackwood 8 is an organisation dedicated to raising funds towards the understanding, treatment and cure about cancer. Support this cause by attending the Gala Cocktail Evening on 21st October.
Blackwood 8 is a group of business people based in Wonga Park, Victoria. We share the common bond of having a friend diagnosed with a brain tumour. Initially, as a community, we have sought to support our friend and her family in a variety of personal and practical ways. However, we recognise there are many more people in our wider community suffering from this disease, and we want to do more. This is why we formed Blackwood 8.
Our mission is to bring the Community together in a fun and positive environment with the goal of raising funds for the purpose of prevention, treatment and cure of cancer.
The 2011 Gala Ball will be held on Friday 21st October, Manningham Function Centre, Doncaster. The night will comprise of a fabulous 3 course dinner, drinks, guest speakers, warm and inviting surroundings, silent and live auctions and a sensational live band (featuring ex-Skyhooks members and Wilbur Wilde).
