It’s this ability for unique customisation that serves as the key characteristic and point of difference for Swedese’s Gap Collection. Each piece is carefully made in Sweden by the award-winning international design company – originally established in 1945, and available exclusively in Australia through Cube and Circle. Swedese – established in 1945 by the founder Yngve Ekstrom – manufactures its furniture at its own two factories in Småland, which are renowned for their high-quality pieces, innovative designs, and Scandinavian aesthetics.
The many pieces of the Gap Collection can be connected together to create captivating interior spaces that serve a variety of audiences – with the Gap Café, Gap Lounge and Gap Meeting items being particular favourites for commercial and retail design.
The Gap Collection provides comfort while allowing ease and convenience for cleaning through the genius gap between the backrest and seat cushion. The trademark subtle gap itself is found in all the pieces from the collection, as well as its continuous clean lines for a sleek and modern appearance.

The Gap Café features higher seating than its sibling the Gap Lounge, but still embodies the same qualities of functionality. The combinations are endless through its array of both straight and curved seats that can be easily linked together. Additional features are also available to enhance the functionality of the furniture, such as side tables and electrical sockets.
The Gap Lounge provides a slightly different aesthetic, but with many similar characteristics, offering a wide range of easy-chairs and sofas which can be combined endlessly. The neat style of this piece feels highly suited to professional environments and contemporary homes.

The Gap Meeting was made to combat busy and crowded environments by creating a calming space for intimate conversation or solo seclusion. Ideal for commercial use as the high walls make public rooms feel a bit more private.
