Door design is one of the hidden gems of modern interiors. If it’s done well, you should never notice it – yet a badly designed door or door system could easily undo the great work put into an interiors project. With the FritsJurgens pivot systems, all the complicated technology is house within the door itself, not the floor.
This hidden system leaves the interface between the wall, the floor and the ceiling clean, subtle and stylish. With no pivot hardware visible, and most importantly no imposing floor plate, this leaves the door looking great, and effortlessly functional, and the floor minimalist and beautiful.
This invisible aesthetic and design element is key to the FritsJurgens pivot system, and was at the fore of the design process. This fact that this system is, for all visual purposes, an unobtrusive and natural one, means it is suitable for projects of both residential and commercial nature.
This designer’s choice for door design has already seen award gold, taking home the 2015 German Design Award and the prestigious RedDot Design Award show.
Made in The Netherlands and distributed locally by Bellevue Architectural, the systems are certified to approximately 136 years of use, available in three different models and certified to carry a door up to 500kg in weight and 4000mm wide.
