Designer Rugs continues their range of collaborations, teaming up with Easton Pearson to create a new collection of eight inspiring, eclectic rug designs.

Fashion powerhouse Pamela Easton and Lydia Pearson are known for their exploration of textile, shape and colour. In this – their first foray into floor coverings – the duo have created a collection of rugs inspired by the bold colours and intricate shapes of the botanical world.

“The idea of working with design and textile in this new medium with Designer Rugs was an adventure we couldn’t resist,” the pair explains.

The eight individual rug designs feature a bold, powerful colour palette ranging from warm suffused yellows and reds to dense violets and grays.

“Increasingly, we’ve been exploring the idea of rugs as artworks, and Lydia and Pamela are artists as well as designers,” says Yosi Tal – Managing Director of Designer Rugs.

“It is a great new direction for Designer Rugs, and the pieces we have produced together with Easton Pearson are extraordinary, colourful, exuberant and yet another fresh approach to the world of design and interiors.”

Each of the inspired designs features 100% New Zealand Wool – some in combination with viscose or pure silk for a subtle textural highlight.

The standard rug size is 2m by 3m, however – as with most of their collections – Designer Rugs can create rugs to order for larger or specific spaces in any colourway you desire.
