Meeting Place is a new exhibition showcasing extraordinary Indigenous Australian art and the stories that shape our shared history.
For the second event in their design series, InterfaceFLOR in partnership with Art Equity are exploring the possibilities of carpet tiles by getting inspired by some of the Western Desert and Tiwi Island’s Indigenous art masters.
Exploring ideas of connection and country and the stories that link us all, InterfaceFLOR are bringing together the work of Yannima Tommy Watson, Naata Nungurrayi, Wentja Napaltjarri, Dorothy Napangardi and Nyurapayia Nampitjinpa (Mrs Bennett).

Drawing on their knowledge of dreamtime myths passed on from generation to generation, the artists’ works tell of the landscape and rich history that forms the story of the country.

Masterpieces of Australian art history are showcased alongside paintings that are simply beautiful, personal and speak of the life of the artist and their homeland.
Completing the exhibition is a selection of InterfaceFLOR products inspired by the individual Indigenous artworks, incorporating the vibrancy and colour of the paintings to provide a complimentary environment.
Experience the uplifting stories and colours of Meeting Place at InterfaceFLOR’s Surry Hills showroom on Thursday 30 June from 6pm until 8pm.
