Davenport Campbell Expands in Canberra

Since moving into the nation’s capital, the originally Sydney based has already attracted a number of projects and clients across the territory, including the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet, the Murray Darling Basin Authority, Commonwealth Bank of Australia, Telstra, KPMG and IP Australia.

Neill Johanson, Co-Principal at Davenport Campbell outlines: “Our Canberra office is an exciting development and means we can directly support local organisations to thrive by creating collaborative and engaging workplaces.”

Heading up the Canberra office is city local Jane Alexander, “Our company’s philosophy of Human Design Thinking will be a key part of our design concepts in Canberra,” Jane says “We have already seen a willingness from government agencies to embrace new and innovative ways of working that promote a high performance culture, which is fantastic to see”

As the interior design scene, and Davenport Campbell itself, grows, the group is looking to employ only the best and brightest local talent. “Not only are we excited to see our business grow, but we are also excited to grow as a local employer and welcome enthusiastic designers and architects on board,” highlighted Johanson.

The interior design and architecture firm also has plans to work with the Canberra community to show its support for local charities.

“Along with the Australian Himalayan Foundation we created the charity, Climb for Education which is dedicated to rebuilding earthquake affected schools in Nepal. This charity underlines everything we do and provides enormous personal satisfaction to our employees. We will look to continue this work with Canberra locals, as well as seek other organisations that we can support,” Johanson concluded.
