Dance For Life 2013

Dance for Life 2013 was every bit the good natured spectacle as design teams battled it out on the dance floor all in the name of charity
With the theme of “Hollywood” taken very seriously by the colourfully attired guests and contenders, over 650 people flocked to the 2013 Dance For Life event at Sydney’s heritage Paddington Town Hall last month.
Presented by Ontera, JSB Lighting and Instyle this is the second outing for the lighthearted and worthwhile design industry event.
Dance For Life raises funds for The Inspire Foundation – the organisation behind leading youth mental health service ReachOut.com
The insatiable crowd urged on nine dancing teams made up of designers, suppliers and architects all volunteering from firms like HASSELL, Westfield, Leffler Simes, Woodhead, The Bold Collective, Cox Richardson, BVN Donovan Hill, Siren Design, Woods Bagot, Tappeti and Geyer. With as much effort invested in costumes as choreography, the competition was always going to be tough.
At the end of the night the overall first place winner was HASSELL, performing a medley from The Lion King.
Best Dressed was awarded to the joint Westfield and Leffler Simes team.
Finally, Woodhead were the team undeniably deserving of the award for Most Funds Raised, with over $8,300 in donations!
In all the event raised more than $50,000 for The Inspire Foundation.
