CUSP: Designing into the Next Decade is Object: The Australian Design Centre’s next major exhibition that should prove to be one of the most significant and exciting design programs produced in Australia over the last 10 years. It features the work of 12 leading designers, covering the breadth of design from data visualisation to social robotics. CUSP encompasses some of the most visionary ideas currently being explored by designers.
There is a full calendar of public programs and events for CUSP, which will give you the opportunity to engage and explore the process behind the designers’ work. From a thought provoking talk series on the train journey between Central station and Casula Powerhouse, to a huge children’s festival that exhibits work for and by kids, CUSP will expose design to a broad audience in order to better understand the potential of design to improve their lives and society at large.
CUSP opens at Casula Powerhouse Arts Centre from Saturday 6 July – Sunday 1 September before touring to six national venues around the country into 2015.
