Led by the ‘process’ of creating, the forthcoming collections from Australia’s Chris Hardy are unique in their offering.
The breadth of Hardy’s experience and superior knowledge of manufacturing techniques delivers Langdon and Sixties, two pieces that epitomise contemporary, Australian, minimalist design.
“I draw a lot of inspiration from understanding the context of use of a product,” explains Hardy, “As well as trying to find innovative applications for the materials and processes I’m working with.”
With a profound interest in design as an experience and a focus on the user interface, Chris Hardy’s collections are responsive to the needs of the consumer, something that when coupled with his hands-on approach to creating, results in furniture that “affects people physically, psychologically and behaviourally.”
