Brightgreen: Lighting the Way
Published

We take a closer look at the multi-award-winning company dedicated to minimising their carbon footprint.
From the outset it’s clear that Brightgreen is a company intently focussed on the development and supply of efficient as well as environmentally friendly products.

To “give people a viable energy-efficient lighting alternative that they know works and lasts, without compromising on light quality” is no small ambition, but the team at Brightgreen have made it their driving principal. Promising and delivering on this has ensured the Australian-owned company an international presence with their premium LED lighting systems.

Brightgreen’s retrofit LEDs achieve the same light output as a 50watt halogen on a fifth of the power. This results in users attaining the same light levels with an 80% reduction in power costs. Brightgreen also offer fast returns on investment of any energy-saving product, with an average payback of one year for residential use.

Brightgreen’s commitment also extends to ensuring products endure without losing quality. All of their lighting products are designed to survive up to 70,000 hours, which is sizable when compared to the halogens which last for 2,000 hours.

Unlike fluorescents and halogens, Brightgreen’s LED lights are free from toxic materials like mercury and lead, both of which are found in CFLs and other LEDs. This makes their products safe to use and equally as important: safe to recycle. As part of their commitment to ecological excellence, Brightgreen products are on average 98% recyclable and can be sold back to them when they eventually do expire.
