Responsive and collaborative: BeSide by Formway
Published

Formway’s chair collection is an unquestionable nod to design that supports activity and movement at the workplace. The latest design modifications help lend added appeal and versatility to the collection.
With workspaces embracing activity-based design, workplace furniture too can be seen following suit. Today’s office furniture is being modelled to embrace diverse collaboration in shared, team and large group environments. As result, products are more ergonomic, comfortable and adaptable. BeSide by Formway makes for an interesting product study.

BeSide is made up of a stacking chair (with optional castors), height-adjust task chair and hybrid chair, all of which work well to respond well to movement. The chairs’ open designs support 270-degree sitting, allowing movement for the upper body and optimum support for the lower back.

In terms of the latest offerings from the collection, the hybrid chair – which blends both mobility and comfort – now comes with new powder coat colours in sync with the shell’s colour. The height-adjust task chair, on the other hand, is available with a high drafting chair option that comes with an integrated foot ring. The latter, which is available with and without arms feels both versatile and functional.

Overall, the seats come with rounded corners allowing easy position shifts for the user. The generously-contoured flexing shell provides a comfortable seating experience, while the perforations facilitate proper airflow. An optional seat pad is available for added comfort.
