Based entirely on white Carrara marble, Marsotto edizioni launched at the Marmomacc fair in October 2009 with its first collection of multifunctional pieces, and made its public debut at Milan Design Week in 2010.

The products are made using a combination of ancient artisanal techniques and high technology, and while designed for everyday use, hold within them a sense of surprise and on occasion – irony.

This year, Marsotto edizioni has worked with 10 designers on a new collection, including for the very first time, Alberto Meda, Joel Berg, Claesson Koivisto Rune and Ross Lovegrove. The other designers include James Irvine, Naoto Fukasawa, Jasper Morrison, Konstantin Grcic, Thomas Sandell, and Maddalena Casadei.

The focus is on smaller items to diversify the collection with all designers pushing the use of marble to unexpected, sculptural conclusions whilst staying true to the philosophy of objects for practical and daily use.
