For all those who dream of designing and running their own bar – The Premise is back for another year.
August 9th, 2011
The Premise is looking to the public to create and run what’s set to be Sydney’s hottest new small bar during the month of October.
Sponsored by Drambuie, the competition is calling for anyone with a fun, creative and inspiring idea for a bar to submit their entries.
The concept needs to be in some way inspired by Drambuie – the drink, its heritage, or its 4 stated values – risk, rebellion, passion and mystery.
The Doghouse – 2010 Winner
The bar will be located in an as-yet-unrevealed harbourside location. With a capacity of 120, it will be open for 3 nights a week for 3 weeks during the month of October.
Last year’s winner, The Dog House, was shortlisted in the Australian Interior Design Awards for its 1920s speakeasy vibe, created by Rob Dumaresq and Hugh Gurney with interiors by Adele Winteridge of Foolscap Studio.
