Rado turns 50, celebrating five decades of innovation in Tokyo
December 19th, 2007
Held at the design concept store RESTIR, Swiss Watch Company, Rado, played host to close friends and international press at the end of October, using the celebratory occasion to project new materials and forms in characteristic pioneering spirit.
Jasper Morrison was approached earlier this year to re-interpret Rado’s iconic watch design producing a revolutionary series realised entirely in ceramic. The Ceramica Chronograph Limited Edition Series was launched in Vienna this year, with the packaging also designed by Morrison.
Rado, ever-conscious of time, walks a fine balance between the present moment, and the future of watch design.
