December 10th, 2008
The flash photobition 2008 Digital Wallpaper competition has been announced. The competition asked designers, artists and architects to create Australia’s best digital wallpaper.
With over 800 entries the competition received a great response. The winner was ‘Hi Tea’ [pictured above] by Charlene Cong from Siren Design Group with its quirky, yet simple repeating pattern. Siren receive a $5000 cash prize and a roll of their own wallpaper. Runners-up were ‘Wonderland’ by Justine Missen and ‘Unfolding Cranes’ by Julie Austin [pictured below].
“The calibre of entries this year was simply outstanding, with many original and highly creative designs making life extremely tough for our judges. The great response however shows that there are never enough avenues for the creativity that bubbles away in all corners of Australia.”
The public also had their opportunity to vote in the People’s Choice Award, which will be announced shortly.
