Bikefest is calling students, design professionals or bicycle enthusiasts to submit designs, ideas and programs that make the world better by bike.

Whether it’s better cycling design, better fashion, better accessories, better infrastructure or fostering better communities – Bikefest is looking for bicycle-related designs.

The competition calls for designs that fit one of the following four categories.

Handy – Got a technical improvement, a whole new project, an engineering revolution, a nifty streamliner, a modification?
Happy – Found a way to make the rider smile, make the city safer for cycles, a system, a program, an event?
Healthy – Can you get more people riding, more diversity, more engagement with community?
Hot – Can you make bike riders look even better, brighter, more comfortable or cool?

The entries will be judged by the following industry experts:

Kate Rhodes, Creative Director, State of Design
Anthony Hamilton-Smith, Designer, Slow Kitchen. Object Gallery Design Now 2009 Winner
Nella Themelios, Coordinating Curator, Craft Victoria
Mick Peel, Senior Lecturer, School of Architecture & Design, RMIT & Busyman Bicycles
Grace McQuilten, Founder & Director, The Social Studio
Alice Blackwood, Editor, DQ Magazine

Visit the site to check out all the details on how to enter and find out more about the fabulous prizes on offer.
