Sub-Zero sets a new standard for beautiful, intelligently designed kitchen appliances with its innovative wine storage range.
The leader in luxury refrigeration, Sub-Zero knows the importance of proper cooling, especially when it comes to wine. A fine designer kitchen may look brilliant in a client’s home, but without the proper technology to back it up, this work of designer excellence can easily be undone.
Sub-Zero’s wine cooling freezers hit both boxes – designed with aesthetics and backed with technology to match, the freezers are available in three widths, 46 cm, 61cm and 76 cm, with bottle capacity going from 46 to an impressive 146, the pleasures of wine can be incorporated into any room in the home. Designers can choose from the classic stainless steel look or create a bespoke finish with custom cabinetry and hardware – the design possibilities are endless.
Sub-Zero wine preservation units act not merely as coolers but as guardians against heat, humidity, vibration and light – the four enemies that can rob wine of its complexity and character.
Two independent storage zones – one for red wine and one for white – maintain wine’s temperature within 1⁰ of the set point, holding wines at precisely the preferred storage and serving temperature. UV-resistant glass, soft LED lighting and a darkened interior protect wine from light exposure that can affect ageing and taste.
The dual-evaporating technology of the units maintain the appropriate level of humidity for each bottle, eliminating the chance of corks drying out or becoming too moist, quickly damaging the wine. The full-extension wine shelves cradle bottles safely, and glide out in a satisfying smoothness to provide easy access without agitating the bottles. Doors also feature hinges that allow for soft open and close to prevent vibration.
Constructed using premium-grade material, all products are tested to exceed Sub-Zero’s standards for reliability and performance. Developed with and for the design community, Sub-Zero products offer design flexibility backed by over 70 years of appliance expertise. Today’s line of wine storage units reflects the innovative thinking that has made Sub-Zero a design icon.
Functional and stylish on their own, all Sub-Zero wine units and freezers can be paired with Wolf heating units for a seamless aesthetic.
