Gessi, manufactured in a single location in Vercelli Italy, embodies Italian design and the aesthetic and quality values that come with that label. At International Design Week 2018, the brand brought home therapy to design.
Always a big player at International Design Week, in 2018 Gessi made marks with a double presence at Salone del Mobile and Fuorisalone. The Italian icons of tapware showcased a double launch during the week, including Inciso, a bathroom and contemporary kitchen range designed by American Archistar David Rockwell.
“Inciso starts with the notion that the act of touching a piece of hardware is in fact an act of engagement,” says David on the new range “Part of our goal was to have a product that would work effortless, and would be a joy to look at and to touch. We spend so much time on our phones in virtual communities that I think the real world takes on additional importance.”
The second range is Rilievo, a collection specifically conceived for the demanding world of hotelleries and designed by HBA, the best known international group of architects specialised in hospitality and Architectural Wellness. The tap system is driven by a revolutionary idea combining lighting techniques and wellness, serving as a complete re-edition of the Gessi Private Wellness Program – the program that put Gessi on the map as a company known as private wellness experts.
Through their designs, the creation of a Gessi space serves as an elegant container of emotions, able to softly suggest and mould beauty in daily life. This is how an idea of home takes place, the one of Gessi Home Therapy – a perspective on living where the most personal spaces of the house serve as areas to relax or to create. Areas where time dissolves into moments of pleasure.
Gessi is not only a product leader, but also a reality always endowed with vision and initiative, which emphasises on a holistic concept of well-being and of greater space for senses and emotions. In Australia, the Gessi range is proudly distributed through their partner Abey.
