The EB 333 – a design icon reimagined

Gaggenau reveals EB 333 – an evolution of the iconic 90cm wide oven; a revitalised design on an already classic piece of design.

Sometimes, to move forward, it is good to look back. Gaggenau’s iconic 90cm-wide oven was introduced 30 years ago, but is still going strong – uncompromising, tested, proven. Gaggenau spent three years creating the original and another 30 perfecting it into something new. This remodelled, hand-crafted work of art represents the culmination of the brands finest principles, skills and ethos. They have christened it the EB 333 in recognition of their 333 years of working in metal. It stands alone in the culinary world as the generous, coveted classic and private choice of the professional chef for three decades. Gaggenau might have tweaked, enhanced and refreshed the design, but they remain true to the soul of the design.

“A labour of love, predominately hand-crafted, barely 2,500 of these design icons will be created in any given year. The EB 333 is more than an oven; it is a huge statement of intent, a promise to create culinary masterpieces.” says Yves Lebrun, Product Development at Gaggenau.

Though the new model showcases upgraded technology and quality standards, it stays true to its origins; linking Gaggenau’s past and present with its future.

The oven EB 333 perfectly embodies Gaggenau’s design philosophy of Traditional Avant-garde; where timeless craftsmanship meets with innovative design. The most striking new design feature of the 90cm wide oven is its door – a vast, single piece of 3mm thick stainless steel, creating a powerfully sleek and sophisticated façade. The door also enlists new technology that provides soft opening and closing to enhance overall user experience.

Further standout features include a revised cavity design that aligns EB 333 with the capabilities of the latest Gaggenau ovens 400 and 200 series. The new cavity also houses an updated lighting concept, heightening the aesthetic of the appliance holistically. The oven includes a new control module with TFT touch display to improve functionality. In addition, exclusively designed black rotary knobs are available to purchase as a special accessory for the EB 333, as an alternative to the stainless steel variant.

The EB 333, like its predecessor, will continue to be crafted nearly entirely by hand using select materials in Lipsheim, France.

Since its first introduction 30 years ago, Gaggenau’s 90cm-wide oven has provided a professional cooking experience in the private kitchen, beloved by top chefs and keen amateur chefs alike. The concept of this unique, stand-alone oven has remained almost untouched over three decades.
