How the Chameleon adapts to any office

From designer Adam Goodrum and the team at NAU comes the Chameleon – a flexible and design conscious table system.

Young in age yet not in experience, since launch in 2017 NAU has created quite the buzz in the Australian design landscape. The embodiment of fresh, forward thinking design, the brand is everything that’s right with Australian design. The Chameleon table system design by Adam Goodrum is the next step in the brand’s transformative approach to commercial furniture.

Following successful launches in 2017 at ICFF in New York and Denfair in Melbourne, the Australian brand NAU continues to wow, from Orgatec to office at home. The embodiment of a fresh approach to Australian contemporary furniture, lighting and accessories by some of the country’s leading talent, NAU brings together the work of Adam Cornish, Adam Goodrum, Gavin Harris, Kate Stokes, Tom Fereday and Jack Flanagan – all under the powerful design legacy of Cult. Chameleon table by Adam Goodrum for NAU.

Chameleon – named so for its ability to adapt to any commercial space with ease and an incredible degree of seamlessness – pushes the scope of engineering in commercial furniture design.

With a range of articulated features, Chameleon offers end users an apparently inexhaustible range of dimensional, typological and aesthetic table and workstation solutions – perfect for today’s commercial interiors with their shrinking floorplates, fluctuating team numbers and predilection for agile working behaviours.

According to Goodrum himself, “Chameleon is refined in its engineering, functional in design and versatile in form, ready to adapt to the dynamic world for which it was designed.”

Made from a series of fluidly interacting castings, the Chameleon table system features a structurally refined Axis-Joint enabling 15-degree frame and leg articulations. The minimal castings of this joint have been designed in such a seamless manner though, that the overall aesthetic is one of clean lines masking a complex and variable system.

Multiple size and shape formations are made possible by the Chameleon’s cleverly engineered structure and articulating features. Available in two different height variation to catering to both sitting and standing solutions, Chameleon is an inherently versatile table system that meets the functional and aesthetic needs of any environment it inhabits.

Chameleon, like all of NAU’s inspiring design solutions, is available through the design experts at Cult.
