Aged and weathered materials bring a certain je ne sais quoi to any design aesthetic. They embody a sense of complexity, character and lives-gone-by with both visual and tactile appeal that goes unparalleled. The trouble is, such well-worn finishes are not practically cut out for everyday use in contemporary projects. Thankfully, there’s a solution.
Blaze oxidised metal look tiles from Rocks On recreate the inimitable beauty of four glorious metal patinas – Corten, Aluminium, Iron, and Verdigris – in the materiality of pressed porcelain and the purest ceramic. Heralding an oxidised metal finish that combines unique textures with iridescent effects and reflections, each Blaze collection tile reveals something new with each change of light.
Characterised by the rusted hues of weathered steel, the Corten finish evokes an industrial aesthetic like no other. In the Aluminium finish, the oxidised metal look tiles compose spaces that are bright and expansive, while on the contrary, Blaze’s Iron finish sets a mood that is deep and dark. On the more vibrant end of the spectrum, Verdigris imitates the stunning teal pigment of oxidised or sea-washed copper, brass and bronze.
With each of the four stunning colour finishes available in polished and matt variations and in a wide range of sizes, including 6-milimetre Slabs and external Pavers, Blaze presents the perfect solution to the challenge of balancing aesthetic complexity with material quality. Manufactured in Italy, the collection’s pressed porcelain floor tiles and pure ceramic wall tiles are suitable for both commercial and residential applications, as well as indoors and out.
Having supplied major residential, commercial and infrastructure projects throughout Australia and the South Pacific region with luxurious porcelain stoneware for over twenty years, it’s no surprise that such a well-resolved range of oxidised metal look tiles has come from none other than Rocks On.
